The discussion with Matron included one Linda.  A domestic worker who, after working for the paid hours, frequently added a couple of hours over a period of  18 years.

I related a story about a female storekeeper who had been such for ten years when I left Surrey Uni in 1977.  I learned ten or so years later she had been awarded OBE for holding a job for so long.

 

This is a formal request that St Lukes puts her name into the Awards system.
